Pixelache/Maa Festival: I thought the earth remembered me // Exhibition - Myymälä2 & Event - Art School Maa: 29.8. 16-22 and 30.8. 13-22

I thought the earth remembered me:

On the last weekend of August students of Art School Maa and Pixelache organize I thought the earth remembered me, a contemporary art event series pondering questions around digital storage and memory. Art School Maa, Myymälä2-gallery and the caves of Suomenlinna are filled with video art, performances, installation and sound art. Maa’s neighbour HIAP will host an opening of a new art book library that provides a space to read and rest. The artworks explore themes of fatherhood, different forms of rebirth, the importance of community and the relationship between religion, body and gender.

The event has free entry. For more information about the schedule and artists visit pixelache.ac, taidekoulumaa.fi & myymala2.com
