Yassine Khaled is a multidisciplinary artist based in Helsinki. Working across performance, sculpture, installation, painting, and filmmaking, Khaled uses his practice to explore the difficulties of modern existence. He examines how communication and cultural power impact the individual and collective psyche in a hyperconnected, globalised world. Yassine is fascinated by the ideas, infrastructures, and unseen codes that silently shape our thoughts, actions, and relationships. Through his art, he challenges cultural and societal norms. In his work, he questions conventional narratives and proposes new worldviews.
Khaled's artistic practice reflects an area of disruption and potential—a method to challenge cultural conformity and evaluate the traditional "givens" of our social reality. His work fundamentally involves challenging and examining current myths while presenting alternate viewpoints on reimagining the world.
Yassine's talk will present multiple viewpoints on his artistic life experiences, exploring the foundations of his inspiration and the motivations for his art creation. Explaining his artistic talents. Yassine will present his unique perspective on the art environment. The contemporary perspective on the world focuses on the need for art today to explore the interrelations of memory, identity, and environment.
Yassine Khaled demonstrates through his artwork that artistic communication is a vital cultural activity that mirrors essential problems surrounding freedom, identity, and control. Khaled will address several questions, such as. What creates art? What is the current state of the art? What is the necessity of art in our societies? What type of art is required? Is art an unlimited field based on freedom of expression or not? Are the art sectors controlled and affected by politics?
